My Life

My Life by Audrey Herring

When I am small I drink, sleep, and eat. 
But as I get older I seem awful neat. 
The little girls giggle as I coo for them. 

And little old ladies ask, Can I hold him?
As I become a teen though you begin to worry, will he be ok?
Then seeing the worry in your eye, I smile and say,
I'm doing fine thanks mom for raising me this way!

I’m Here For You by Audrey Herring

Although on the surface you are cool and under control, deep down inside you are hurting more than most people know. Confusion is on your front porch talking with frustration, working out a conspiracy against you so it seems. But don’t worry it’s during these times when I love you the most. I have two ears to listen and to arms open wide, so when you need to talk I’m here, even if you need to cry. I have a box of tissues and two comfy shoulders, so don’t hesitate to come by. Listening what I am here for even though it can hurt I will. Loving you more every minute trying to show you how I feel, I love you and that’s not a lie. Now hand your problems over and I’ll take care of you, just hold on tight and God will make everything all right.
